Dillicious – Al Karama

Dillicious is the new restaurant in town, just 1-2months old and they’re located in Karama. They’ve made the whole restaurant into a modern indian dhaba and I love it! They’ve literally have a trucks front body inside the restaurant, say whaattt!! :O

IMG_3443

I had visited them along my foodie blogger friend Aditi πŸ˜€ Also thank you to Stylecode Media for the invite πŸ˜€ Let’s get to the food, shall we? πŸ˜€

IMG_5132

Beverages – Strawberry Mojito – 12dhs – I was very surprised with how good the mojito actually tasted, I was debating before the mojito came. Not too sweet nor too sour, just perfect the way it should be. Must Try!

IMG_5133

Starter – Veg Kebab Platter – 35dhs – The platter consisted of Stuffed mushrooms – were well done and had some cheese stuffing in it. Stuffed potatoes – I liked the outer layer which was crispy and flavourful, dint really like the stuffing. Achari Soya Chaap – One of the best chaaps I have had, I’m a very big fan of soya chaps and these tasted excellent, the tanginess of the achar made the dish taste even more better. Paneer Tikka – Very soft and properly tandoor’d, nobody can go wrong with paneer tikka. Seekh Kebab – very soft from that inside and crispy from the outside. loved it!

IMG_5142

Samosa Chaat – 10dhs – ONE OF THE BEST SAMOSA CHAAT IN TOWN!! Literally so good, very simple made but so so good. The dish dint have the masalai chole, just boiled chole’s, green chutney, red chutney, curd, onions, tomatoes and topped with salted boondi. such simple ingredients but a very hearty dish! Worth the amount. A Must Try

Mains – Ordered 1 sabzi, 1 dal, roti basket and biryani (veg options)

Paneer Tikka Tawa Masala – 30dhs – The paneer is tandoor’d in their bhatti and the gravy is made right in front of you in their open kitchen on the tawa, proper dhaba style! The gravy is a brown gravy which isn’t too runny and is properly coated onto the paneer, not too spicy and not bland at all!

IMG_5143

Dal Dhaba – 22dhs – We wanted to have their Dal Makhani but the manager suggested us to try their Dal Dhaba and surprisingly this dish was a bomb.com! It is made almost like dal makhani but had a mix of 5 dals, very very good tasting dish. You should surely order Dal Dhaba. A Must Try!

IMG_5146

Roti Basket – 24dhs – The basket consisted of 4-5 different kinds of roti’s and they were very soft and not rubbery. Also very reasonable for the amount of roti’s you get, I always order the roti basket at the restaurants because you get more quantity and you pay less. A Must Try!

IMG_5145

Paneer Tikka Biryaani – 24dhs – I freaking loved the biryaani, so so flavourful and delicious! Every scoop you eat you can taste the masala’s and the tons of saffron. The best part is they make the same base rice for both veg and non veg biryani, so you’re not missing on anything! A Must Try!

IMG_5148

Dessert – We ordered 2 desserts

Gulab Jamun with Ice Cream – 14dhs – I wasn’t a big fan the gulab jamun as I hate elaichi in my jamun and these had a lot of strong flavour of elaichi, so it was a miss for me.

IMG_3439

Ras Malai – 12dhs – Nothing wow, very mediocre.

IMG_5161

Staff and Service – Friendly staff and quick service!

One the Pocket – Pretty Pocket friendly, I look at myself visiting them soon in the future πŸ˜€

Overall – I really liked everything overall, the food is phenomenal, as we couldn’t finish all the food in one seating we did a take away took it home for my parents, and I kid you not they LOVED the food! The ambience and seating is really chilled. I loved the art wall and the truck, just the highlight of the restaurant πŸ˜€ The staff and the service is upto the mark. Do not panic about the parking as you’re going to find a lot of parking in this area and also it’s a C zone πŸ˜€

The Bhukkad Cafe

Bhukkad Cafe is the newest place everyone is literally hanging around! My friend Aditi was invited and she took me and Shabina/Shabosphere for tasting on Women’s Day! This place is beautifully interior-ed, love the ambience and seating. But every place has some hits and misses, so did bhukkad cafe! Let’s get talking about the food and our order!

It being International Women’s Day, they were serving a glass of Jalebi Milkshake to every Woman in the house, that was a very sweet gesture! Umm, sadly I dint like the shake at all, very watery and buttery. The first sip makes your whole mouth very buttery, that’s something I dislike the most, Jalebi Shake was a miss for me!

IMG_5092

Bhukkad Cafe, doesn’t have anything like starters or mains. We started off with Chau Mean.

Chau Mean – 26dhs – Chau mean was the dish between hit and miss, the dish was very bland, no spice or salt was added. We added some chutney from our sandwich which made it taste it a little better. Chau Mean was served on Spade, yes the one which we use in gardening, I personally loved the presentation, very quirky and different!

IMG_5098Top – Chau Mean , Below – Chilli Chicken

Mithibai Grill Sandwich – 26dhs – I have never had the original mithibai grill sandwich but what I had here at Bhukkad Cafe was really tasty, flavorful and loaded with cheese and served with potato chips! A Must Try

IMG_5100

Pizza Fries – 22dhs – Them fries were also loaded with cheese on the top, the fries had pizza sauce, few jalapeno’s and the rest I forgot πŸ˜› sorry about that πŸ˜›Β  I feel the quantity as per the price pretty less and if the dish was baked or had melted cheese or a little cooked cheese would taste even better. I get they’re trying to recreate the dishes you get in India food stalls but this was my little thought to the dish.

IMG_5101

Pull Out Bread – 32dhs – This was my personal favorite and I was really looking forward for this dish since I saw some of my friends posting them pictures on instagram (you can also follow me Instagram – @hemangiramani , self promo πŸ˜› ) let’s get back to the dish πŸ˜› haha πŸ˜› So, it’s slab of small pav bread, they scoop the top and add finely chopped capsicums, onions, tomatoes, corn and mix them in butter an some masala and which is also topped with cheese, oregano and chili flakes. Only the sad part was that the cheese dint pull out as it had cold by the time we finished taking our pictures and all πŸ˜› A Must Try if you’re a cheese lover!

GQII7970

Chaat Platter – 40dhs – Umm, very expensive for the quantity I’m getting and also I dint like either of the chaats, mostly all of them were very spicy or had no proper spice. The chaat platter was a miss for me!

Mac n Tikka – 36dhs – Bringing the Italian Pasta with an Indian Paneer/Chicken Tikka twist! This dish would taste epic if they used a little less garam masala to it, the masala over took the whole dish and you could barely taste anything else, and on the other hand the normal white sauce pasta was really good, that was a win for me, otherwise the tikka masala gravy was a very big let down.

IMG_3021

Brownie Shake – 28dhs – Even this shake was a little watery to me, whenever the word shake comes to mind I always think of kind of thick shake, tasted a lot like chocolate milkshake, it was okay. All points to the presentation!

LKUK9790

For the desserts we went for a cake and ice creams –

Sticky Toffee Cake – 22dhs – I personally ain’t a big sticky toffee cake fan because the dessert consist of dates, it’s not that I don’t like dates but I do not like it in my desserts warm. That’s too me TMI πŸ˜› Let’s get back to the dish πŸ˜› Overall the cake tasted very soft, moist and not too sweet, the cake was served with ice cream on the top. A Must Try!

Ice Cream – Gulkaand 24dhs and Paan Vanilla – 22dhs – Both the ice creams tasted extremely good, very flavorful and just the same way as they would taste in real. I’m not sure what they served us in was their regular size of serving or it was only for us, but if that was their regular portion of serving for the ice cream then, bro that’s extremely EXPENSIVE!

IMG_5129

Service and Staff – Staff was a little confused with few of our orders, they kept coming and asking would you still need this or forget our order. They need to work with that and also the service was alright.

On the Pocket – Pretty pretty expensive on the pocket, if you’re a middle class earning person like I’m, then I don’t think this the ideal place for you! The amount they are charging isn’t right for the quantity they serve. This is my personal thought.

Overall – I loved the ambience, very different and indianised! Few of their dishes were really good be that veg or non veg and some were under the mark, which they need to work on them. They also need to work on their staffs with taking orders and phrasing a question correctly to the customers. You’ll find a lot of parking around the place and luckily its the ‘C’ zone so you ain’t paying a lot on your parking. They’re almost all the time full and there is a lot of people in waiting too, so you better call them up before you leave to check if there aren’t enough people when you reach there. This was my honest review about the place, pls do not think I was bashing the cafe in anyways! These were my personal thoughts on what all I was served.

Hope my blog was helpful for you and for further information you can check them out on The Bhukkad Cafe Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Black Salt

Have you all been in the University City area in Sharjah?? If not then you’re missing out on very good food branches just like Black Salt! Very unique and different seating and interiors with open kitchen, so you can look at how your food to drinks are made! Sitting beside an open kitchen is really fun and also you know how your food is been cooked πŸ˜€

IMG_2094

I was invited to their Bloggers Tasting Session on a fine Friday afternoon, and we all had a feast πŸ˜€ They were really sweet to have veg options for some of us vegetarian bloggers πŸ˜€

Let’s dig into the food, shall we? πŸ˜€

We started off with some of their home-made breads which were very soft and fresh! Love it πŸ˜€

IMG_4806

Drinks – They have very fun names to their drinks and I tried one of their new edition πŸ˜€

View this post on Instagram

It’s so annoying when somebody says the name of a song and then it’s stuck in your head all day. Like, β€œIf you like Pina Colada and getting caught in the rain” πŸŽΆπŸ™ˆπŸ˜‹ . . . . . This is the fancy looking Pina Colada from @blacksaltae 🍍 I really like things with dry ice, everything becomes so much fun! 😍😁 I had ordered their Kandy Krush drink, and it was so so good, it’s also new on their menu. So, when you go next to @blacksaltae don’t forget to order one☝️ Kandy Krush 😁 @zomatouae . . . . . #bloggersinvite #zomatouae #zomato #sharjahfood #sharjah #uae #uaefoodiesbloggers #dubaifoodiebybirth #dubaiblogger #sharjahuniversitycity #blacksaltae #newrestaurantinsharjah #pinacolada #pineapple #drink #dryice #noicefood #coldturkeydxb #coolfood #eatoutdxb #dxbreakfasts #vegetarianfoodblogger #uaefoodbloggers #likesforlikes #dubaifoodiebloggers #okaybyeee

Kandy Krush – They serve their drinks in an unique way, my drink came in a small half barrel kind of pot withΒ a small bowl which had lots of dry ice, and they pour liquid nitrogen for the smoke and instantly your drink becomes just so cool to watch & drink πŸ˜€ Also there were 2 small bottles, a glass full of shredded ice and lots of gummy worms on the top with some sour syrup drizzled,Β  Small bottles – one had the drink in it and the other had the soda, you pour both together in the drink. I love drinks which has a balance of both sweet and sourness together and this was perfect. A Must Try!

IMG_4822

Appetizers – Us the vegetarians had 3 appetizers to ourselves and I loved some and dint love some that much.

IMG_2134

Mac n Cheese Nachos – 44dhs –Fried Mac n Cheese, Whaatt?? Who is even coming up with such things?? Not the first time I have had though πŸ˜› By the time we had the mac n cheese nachos, they had gone all cold because we had to get the best shot – blogger problems, haha πŸ˜› Basically Mac n Cheese Nachos are made into fritters and coated with doritos and fried, yes you read it write, epic isn’t it? πŸ˜€ and they are all crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside with cheese ozzing out, which dint happen in our case πŸ˜› Though they tasted good, the best part was their salsa sauce, the whole dish got to another level of goodness! A Must Try!

IMG_4835

Corn on the Cob – 22dhs – A regular corn on the cob served with some spices, crushed cheetos and sauces drizzled on. Tasted great but I don’t think so I would spend so much on a corn on the cob.

IMG_4834

Classic Watermelon and Feta Cheese – 39dhs – This combination of watermelon and cheese is outstanding!! The sweetness of the watermelon and the saltiness of the feta cheese compliments the whole dish! A Must Try!

IMG_4825

Mains – We had 2 vegetarian dish for the mains.

There is no β€œwe” in food. So, get away from my food! πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜πŸ€€ . . . . . Yesterday’s bloggers meet with @fooduetto and @thescrumptiousscavengers was at @blacksaltae 😍, such pretty interiors with pretty good food! This their main dishes! I absolutely loved their Pepper Mushroom Pasta, one of the best Pasta’s I’ve had this year! 😍🀀 . . . . . Pepper Mushroom Pasta – 45dhs – The pasta were Alfredo sauce pasta’s and I kid you not when I tell these were the best pasta I have had this year!! The sauce was so creamy and cheese and the black pepper taste was just so good! We literally downed this dish in no time, it was that delicious πŸ˜€ A Must Try!

IMG_4843

Flatbread – 44dhs – I’m sorry, I do not remember the name of this dish, also this dish was also on their recommended list. Sauteed spinach base topped with lots of cheese and drizzled with truffle oil and finally topped with fresh baby spinach! Yum, tasted very delicious! A Must Try!

IMG_4845

Desserts – They were made freshly for everyone, so it took them too long to get the desserts out.

Red Velvet Tower – 38dhs – The tower is served very fancily in a huge bowl with dry ice smoke. Cake was very soft and the icing wasn’t too sweet so it was a balance of sweetness overall. A Must Try!

IMG_4854

Black Salt Date Cake – Damn!! Their presentation is so so beautiful, I absolutely loved it πŸ˜€ So, they made a sphere out of caramelized sugar and in between kept is the date cake and ice cream. This tasted aahhmaazzingg!! The caramelized sugar with the cake and ice cream tasted out of this world, it was surely my favorite dessert! A Must Try!

IMG_4857

Service and Staff – The service was a little slow, probably because there were a lot of us that day! The staff on the other hand were friendly and helpful with the orders πŸ˜€

On the Pocket – I would say they’re a on the expensive side, so think and order!

Overall – A very fancy shancy place, also very instagramable. The prices are on a little expensive though, so if you’re on a budget then this is not the right place for you! The food overall is good, very unique and different, loved the drinks options and the pasta! They’re Kids friendly, instagramable, got loadsss of parking, and they’ve free wifi! πŸ˜€

Blaze Burger

I had Blaze Burger on my list ever since they opened in UAE. The interiors and the graffiti art on the walls are really unique and quirky, love it πŸ˜€ They’ve pretty Huge portions for everything, so sharing would be the best thing!

IDMB4703[1]

I had gone along with my 3 girl friend bloggers and we had the best time πŸ˜€

We had a lot of food, but as I’m writing about the vegetarian food it’s not going to look a lot, haha πŸ˜›

Let’s talk about the food, shall we? πŸ˜€

Drinks

Blaze on the beach – 20dhs – The drink was really refreshing and you could taste all the flavors, sourness of the cranberry and orange and tad bit of sweetness from the peach.

IMG_4770

American Mojito – 20dhs – The classic virgin mojito, you can never go wrong with the classic mojito but surely make it taste better just like this one. A Must Try!

IMG_2718

Fries – We went over board with the fries, but they’re sooo goood!! Like all of them were so so good, I’m going back for all their fries soon! πŸ˜€ I’m sure you’ve heard of fries before guys, haha πŸ˜› πŸ˜€

Cajun Scoopers – 17dhs – They’re basically potato fries but made into scoops, fried and sprinkled with their secret cajun spices, and you get 1 dip along with the fries. You can choose your dip, I don’t remember the dip but these fries were so damn crunchy but soft from the inside! This was the first time I have tried such fries and they were damn delicious! A Must Try

IMG_4777.JPG

Reloaded Fries – 24dhs – The fries were cooked perfectly, loads of cheese is put and drizzled with their secret but delicious sauce and topped with lot of Jalapenos. You’ll have to pay 2dhs extra for the Jalapenos though, which is absolutely worth as it changes the taste of the dish totally to another level! A Must Try

IMG_E1907

Angry Fries – 28dhs – The name says it all yeah ?? Angry fries, HAHA!! πŸ˜€ So, the fries were topped with tons of cheese, their chili gravy sauce and then with lots of capsicums and jalapenos. If you’re okay with eating spicy food then you’ll surely enjoy these fries πŸ˜€ A Must Try!

View this post on Instagram

Show me a person who doesn’t like french fries and we’ll swap lies! πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸŸ . . . . . This is the spicy Angry Fries from @blazeburgers , damn this place is so so good!! Loved their fries 😍 only if they had more vegetarian burger options, phir toh sonai pai suhaga hojata! πŸ˜‹πŸ”πŸŸ Review should be up sooon! @zomatouae πŸ“πŸ˜ Thank you @blazeburgers for having me and my friends today, we surely had a great time with great food!😍😁 Also I’m wearing my Pom Pom Sandals πŸ’πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜ . . . . . #BlazeBurgerDubai #JBR #todayspost #foodie #dubaifoodie #dubaifoodiebloggers #dubaifoodiebybirth #uaefoodie #dubairestaurant #uae #zomatouae #zomato #uaefoodblogger #burger #angryfries #frenchfries #eatoutdxb #dxbreakfasts #coldturkeydxb #thewalk #noicefood #instafood #pompomsandals #lovefood #foodielover #okaybyeeee #maxfoodshot

Crazy Fries – 28dhds – These fries come with Bacon, but we told them to minus the bacon because none of us eat bacon, but the fries just topped with their awesomeness sauce, yes that’s their sauce’s name. πŸ˜€ The fries are then topped with some fried onion, delicious! A Must Try!

ozxp3483.jpg

Mains – They sadly have only 1 vegetarian option but that one option is my favorite and that’s the Portobello Mushroom Burger.

Portobello Mushroom – 42dhs – Basically you make your own burger, from breads to sauces to extra toppings you choose everything (you’ll have to pay extra 4dhs for each extra toppings). If you’re a health freak you can choose lettuce as your bun too. I went for the white bun and the sauce I chose was Heaven and Hell, I’m sure can make out from the name how spicy would the sauce be πŸ˜› They don’t even add the Nuclear Mustard Sauce in your burger just because it’s that spicy. I tried the sauce with 1 cajun fries and instantly needed water πŸ˜› But without the sauce the burger tasted really bland so I ended up spreading some Nuclear Mustard Sauce and Spicy Mayo. After that the burger tasted great πŸ˜€

Desserts – We went GAGA over the desserts, as usual πŸ˜› They make their cakes in the pan they serve in, the desserts are HOT and right out of the oven.

Me – I can’t eat anymore, I’m full! Server – Do you want any β€œDessert” Also Me – YAAASSS!! πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ˜ I don’t have a sweet tooth, I have sweet teethπŸ˜πŸ™ˆ . . . . . I had two fav desserts from @blazeburgers , the chocolaty Gooey Skillet and the delicious Cookie Blondie! They were oh so good with the ice cream, chocolates and the chocolate sauce! 😍🀀 @zomatouae . . . . . #BlazeBurgerDubai #JBR #todayspost #foodie #dubaifoodie #dubaifoodiebloggers #dubaifoodiebybirth #uaefoodie #dubairestaurant #uae #zomatouae #uaefoodieblogger #dessertlover #getinmybelly #chocolate #dubaidessertlover #eatoutdxb #dxbreakfasts #coldturkeydxb #noicefood #lovefood #foodielover #okaybyeeee

A post shared by Hemangi Ramani (@hemangiramani) on

Gooey Chocolate Skillet – The cake was surely very chocolaty and gooey, very soft and a little too sweet for my liking.

OOLG4111

Cookie Blondie – OMG! This is just a big cookie made in a pan, i loved it! Not too sweet and tasted fantastic with some ice cream and choco chips. My absolute favorite! A Must Try!

BOTW5108[1]

Service and Staff – Very friendly staff and quick with everything. Their service is also super quick. You’ll have to do a self service ordering, once ordered you’ll be handed a table number and then the food is served in no time! πŸ˜€

IMG_4776

On the Pocket – Definitely a little to expensive on your pocket but as I always say go in groups and split, that way you all your friends can try different things and pay equally too! πŸ˜€

Overall – A great experience, but would surely want some more vegetarian burger options because I’m sure everyone is not a mushroom fan, other than everything is great. πŸ˜€ When you’re at Blaze Burger you get a feeling of you’re sitting at an olden days club, love the funkie arts and different kind of seating! Finding a parking would be a little difficult as it’s JBR, but I would suggest you to come in 1 car if you’re 4-5pax. As the parking pricing is a little higher. Parallel parking on the road on weekends is 50dhs for 8hours and on weekdays its 30dhs for 3hours. There is a building parking too which is 10dhs per hour. And if you’re thinking to ditch the car, you can use the tram too as it’s on a walking distance from Blaze Burgers πŸ˜€ They’ve free wifi, outside seating, choose your condiments wall and they’re kids friendly too! πŸ˜€

Sukh Sagar Restaurant

Sukh Sagar Restaurant is one of the oldest Indian Vegetarian Restaurants in Dubai and it’s going to sound a little weird but I have only visited them once in these many years! Don’t ask why though πŸ˜› Also a big thank you to Hyperlinks Media for the Invitation πŸ˜€

IMG_2432

I had gone on the 14th Feb – Valentines Day, with my very lovely Mommy πŸ˜€ We surely had a great feast πŸ˜€

Let’s talk about what all we ordered, it was a lottt of good food πŸ˜› πŸ˜€

We started off with something to drink.

Carrot Juice – 13dhs – Mom went for the fresh made carrot juice and it was pretty good, also you could get little bit of carrot with every sip, mom really liked it.

Salted Lassi – 12dhs – I went for the authentic salted lassi, for us gujarati lassi is like our beer, we have it with mostly everything and absolutely love that! Perfectly made lassi, not too salty and not too thick either, just the way I love my Lassi.

IMG_4988

We ordered 3 Appetizers –

Mix Platter – 35dhs –Β If you and your family is as crazy as we are about tandoor and all then you’ll surely like this dish, you can share the dish at least between 3 people max! The platter consisted a different variety of tandoor’d veggies like cauliflower and mushrooms, paneer and kebab’s.

LikedPaneer – The paneer was so soft that it melted right away in the mouth and it was properly tandoor’d with yummy marination masala! Mushrooms – You can never go wrong with mushrooms in a tandoor platter πŸ˜€ , Seekh Kabab – Very flavorful with all the spices and cooked properly! Pineapple – Yess, there was a pineapple that too fried in a pancake batter. I loved it!! The sourness of the pineapple and the batter was slightly sweet so the whole combination was different and tasty!

Dint likeCauliflower – The cauliflower tasted a little under-cooked, the masala tasted perfectly seasoned and not too spicy.Β  Hara Bhara Kebab – The hara bhara kebab dint taste like the authentic kebabs, very bland in taste too.

IMG_4990

Sukh Sagar Specail Masala Pav 19dhs –Β MY FAVORITE DISH!!! Literally this dish was soo gooddd!! The Masala wasn’t deadly spicy, I could do that much spice. The masala dint taste like the typical Pav Bhaji Masala, it wasn’t totally smashed and creamy like the pav bhaji masala, bigger chunks of the tomato, onions and capsicums. The pav was grilled in butter up to it was crunchy from the top and soft from the inside. The dish was topped with loads of cheese which took the dish to another level of awesomeness! An absolute Must Try!

Vegetable Manchurain – 22dhs – They looked great when served, but dint taste any good. The manchurian dint have any vegetable inside, probably just a tiny bit of carrot was seen with a little green onion. Also the gravy was a little too salty. So for manchurain it was a no – no!

IMG_5000

Our Mains – We went for 2 sabzi’s , roti’s and 1 biryani

View this post on Instagram

Food – Eat it quickly otherwise you’ll have to share it! πŸ™„πŸ˜‹ I’m the worst at sharing my food πŸ™ˆ . . . . . Punjabi Dum Aloo 27dhs – I forever wanted to try Dum Aloo, it was a red/orangish gravy which tasted a little tangy and had enough amount of spice I could take. The only sad part was the potato was a little under cooked, so it was getting difficult to cut into the aloo. The filling of dum aloo was grated paneer and spices. I liked the gravy but not the dum aloo. If the aloo was cooked properly would taste even better.

IMG_5009

Sukh Sagar Special Vegetable – 35dhs – The dish consisted 2 sabzi’s, Aloo Bukhara Kofta – Really well done kofta’s you can not make out its made out of plum and this one of their best selling dishes! A Must Try! Malai Paneer (I think so) – Dint know what was the second sabzi as I dint ask the name, the sabzi was very very sweet, dint like the over powering sweetness at all, the only good part about the dish was their freshly made paneer. Liked one sabzi and disliked the other.

IMG_5008

Rotis Lachha Partha – 7dhs and Kulcha – 6dhs – Both lachha partha and kulcha were really well made, not too chewy at all. A Must Try!

IMG_5010.JPG

Vegetable Handi Biryani25dhs – Biryani tasted more like masala pulao, too much masala and was bland on salt. I was expecting the biryani to be more like dum, but then yes dum biryani is totally different from handi biryani. The biryani was accompanied with raita and papad.

Desserts – You can never leave a restaurant without sweets, if someone tells they don’t have space for any dessert, leave them asap. HAHA, JK πŸ˜›

Angoor Rabri 10dhs – One of the best angoor rabri had till date!! The rabri wasn’t too sweet and it was so thick and creamy, absolutely loved the dish. A Must Try!

Ras Malai 12dhs – 2 piece –Β The ras malai was also really good, very soft and not too chewy. The milk was so good!

IMG_5028

Service and Staff – The service and staff both are extremely good!! Mr. William the Manager of the branch was really sweet to look after each customer, he asked feedbacks from all his customers.

On the Pocket – I would say pretty pocket friendly, I see myself coming for a lot of their delicious food.

Overall – The seating and the ambience of Sukh Sagar is nice. They need to improve few things about their dishes like presentation of the dishes, they also need to look into using proper amount of salt, because 1-2 dishes had extra or no salt. otherwise I liked everything. There is tons of parking right in front of the restaurant, they have wifi and also it’s kids friendly.

Sukkar

I recently visited Sukkar for a Dessert tasting with my blogger freind Aditi, which we wanted to go ever since we saw them tasty posts on in my feed! I surely don’t have a sweet tooth because I have sweet teeth πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

IMG_4871

Let me share a little back story about Sukkar to you guys! Sukkar is concept by Logma and they serve modernized Emarati and Khaleeji sweets. They have a lot delicious flavors in their overall desserts like, Rahash (Halawa – Sesame seed paste with sugar/honey) , karak chai, rose, saffron, pistachio, etc.

So, shall we get to what all we ordered πŸ˜€

1.Nutella Well – 48dhs – I had a lot of favorites and this was one of them, oh so good and gooey! As you cut the hot molten cake the chocolate river flows out. I absolutely loved it! A Must Try!

2. Milk Cake – 50dhs each – Recently I have gone GAGA over milk cakes because they’re extremely soft and melts right in the mouth, love it! We ordered two of them, saffron and rose, both were extremely good and both the flavors were my fav!! A Must Try!!

3. Lugaimat – 36dhs – We couldn’t decide with what topping to go with so we asked them to get us Nutella and Lotus. They got us both in different dipping bowls. Them lugaimat were so crunchy from out and so soft from the inside and properly cooked too. Loved it, they tasted great even after they got a little cold πŸ˜› HAHA πŸ˜› A Must Try!

4. Brownies – 12dhs each – We ordered two of them, Pretzel brownie and Coconut Brownie, both the brownies were so ooey goey and chocolatey. They weren’t too sweet and very soft to bite in. A Must Try!

IMG_4891

5. Blueberry Cheesecake – 28dhs – My friend and I enjoyed the cheesecake and it was gone in seconds! The cheesecake wasn’t too sweet and had the proper taste of blueberry!

IMG_4876

6. Sukkar Puffs12dhs-100dhs (as per pieces) – This is the new edition to their new menu, they have 6 flavors and they’re chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, rose, saffron and blueberry. I dint like them, may be because the filling tasted a little too buttery for my liking. They look lovely though!

IMG_4889

7. Berry Shake – 48dhs –Β  My friend was very brave and she went for their Berry shake and I kid you not, the shake was HUGE!! She absolutely enjoyed her shake and we had to takeaway the shake as it was huge and we got the shake in two big cups, because it wouldn’t fit in one! haha πŸ˜›

Service – Very quick service with very friendly staff

On the Pocket – Surely a little expensive on the pocket if you alone are going to spend so much on desserts but as I always tell, go in groups and split the amount between your friends! You’ll also get to try different desserts rather than only one πŸ˜€

Overall – I look at myself coming back here for the tremendously delicious Milk Cakes, if not alone then with family and friends. πŸ˜€ The place is a little small as they’re a Dessert branch of Logma, you can also sit down at Logma have your mains from there and order your desserts from Sukkar. The service, dessert, ambience, seating, staff everything is great! There is free parking and wifi at the Box Park, so you’re sorted with those two also πŸ˜€ Do check them out if you have sweet teeth like I do πŸ˜€

You can also check their menu out on Sukkar Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato , they also do full size cakes for events, you can check that out too πŸ˜€

Hope you enjoyed my blog because I absolutely enjoyed writing it and having all the sweetest πŸ˜€ I was on a sugar rush by the end of the tasting, haha πŸ˜› See you all until my next blog! Stay Awesome and Stay Foodie πŸ˜€

Crisol Restaurant and Lounge

Crisol is a fusion of American, Mexican and Spanish cuisine. I was very curious about the meaning behind the name and I was said Crisol means Melting Pot in Spanish! They’re located in Sharjah the University City Area. If you don’t know about this area then you’re surely missing on a lot of good food around this area, including Crisol! πŸ˜€

IMG_0946

Let’s get on the food, there was a lot of food and they had a separate fixed menu for the tasting, but sadly they dint have a lot of veg options!

Beverage – Strawberry Mojito –

I’m sure by now you guys are aware about how much I love myself a good Mojito and I’m on a mission to find the best Mojito in town! So, I went for their Strawberry Mojito, just letting you know, they’ve HUGE PORTIONS for everything. So, we get our tall glasses of Mojito, very refreshing but the drink had a little weird after taste probably because of the excessive use of the ginger ale which overpowered the whole drink.

IMG_0916Strawberry Mojito

Salad – Watermelon Salad –

I haven’t had a watermelon in a salad and this was quite different from all salads I have had before. The salad had a surprise and that was the fried goat cheese!! OMG!! What even?? The goat cheese and watermelon with rocket leaves went so well with drizzled balsamic and few sesame seeds! DELICIOUS!! Must Try!

IMG_4453Watermelon Salad with fried goat cheese

Appetizers – Matchcstick Fries –

They were really sweet to make one of their appetizers veg. Matchstick fries were very thin fries served in a big jar with lots of cheese and their secret sauce around the whole jar topped with crushed chettos. It was my absolute favorite dish as everything went so well with each other, none of the toppings overpowered the dish! An Absolute MUST TRY!

Mains – Mushroom Farfalle (Mushroom Pasta) –

As there were no veg options in their set menu, they let us order anything on their menu, the manager help us choose the Mushroom Farfalle. They were mushroom pasta in excellent made creamy alfredo sauce, loved it!

IMG_4459Mushroom Farefalle

No food journey is complete without dessert and they served us with one of their best desserts and they surely were to die for!

Desserts – 1 – CRISOL HIT –

CRISOL HIT is basically a three layered dessert which has ice cream on the very bottom, in the middle is their crunchy brownie and on the top is their chocolate which has hidden ice cream inside. They pour hot chocolate sauce on the top layer and hit the top chocolate and the melted ice cream oozes out! A messy but delicious dessert. A Must Try.

IMG_4477(Left – Right – Crisol Hit , Lotus Pancake and Vanilla Milk Cake)

2 – Lotus Pancake –

As I told you above their portions are huge and so were their desserts, love that! The lotus pancake looked crazy good, but after the 1st pancake was eaten the below ones were a little dry, so I would suggest extra sauce on the side maybe? Otherwise it was a hit!

IMG_4480Lotus Pancake

3- Vanilla Milk Cake –

WHAT HEAVEN!! I have found a new love of Milk Cakes and it’s getting uncontrollable πŸ˜› These cakes are not too sweet and so so fluffy because of the milk around the cake! I LOVE THEM and also a Must Try!

Ambience –

Very quiet and peaceful, I would sit here the whole day and wouldn’t get bored of anything! The interior is so beautiful and funky, my favorite spot was their washroom area! The whole place is so so Instagram-able!

IMG_4474Interiors

Service –

Quick service, all the food was served in minutes right after ordering! Also very friendly and helpful staff.

On the Pocket –

I would say pretty reasonable for the huge portions they serve. πŸ˜€

Overall –

It was a great experience, would surely go back for their Matchstick fries and their crazy good desserts! Easy to a find parking, kid friendly and they got wifi too. So, it’s a win from all the sides! πŸ˜€
