I was invited for a media preview by Yardstick Marketing for Riso. As I walked inside the first thing that caught my eye was the amazing interior and the decor! Such bright and vibrant colors are used for the decor of Riso! 😀
Lovely Interiors and Decor
Let’s hop on to the food, shall we 😉 😀
Mushroom Cappuccino – We started off with their special soup, which is actually served in a very different manner, that is in a Cup like a cappuccino. The soup on the below and milk froth on the top. At first I thought I wouldn’t like it, but I was wrong. The soup was good, pretty creamy and you could get tiny chunks of mushrooms too in a sip, it was a hit for me! A Must Try!
Nachos with Beans – The nachos were freshly made and were topped with beans (rajma), chopped tomatoes and green peppers and loads of cheddar cheese, aah so good and the nachos were a little spicy, which made everything taste even better! 😀 A Must Try!
Nachos with Beans
Fungi Trifolati – Fresh mushrooms sauteed with Italian herbs and served with garlic bread, this dish was pretty good as the mushrooms were properly sauteed and the herbs dint overpower the dish.
Garlic Bread – We were supposed to get the Masala Garlic Bread which never made to our table. So they served us garlic bread, very mediocre, wouldn’t order this dish personally. No seasoning, couldn’t taste any garlic either, a big NO for me!
Spinachi Salsa – This was something new and actually tasted good, the dip was made of spinach (duh :P), cream, cheese, a little bit of spices and served with toasted bread. A good twist to the normal salsa!
Hot Mezzo –
Black & White Sesame Coated Cottage cheese with Spicy sauce – Wow, that’s a mouthful of a name 😛 I love paneer, but this dish gave me 50-50 thoughts about the same. The paneer was over grilled which made the paneer taste brunt and rubbery, wasn’t seasoned with any salt either. The good part was their spicy sauce which got the dish back to life. I know that’s the reason it’s not seasoned and all, but I think if the paneer was a little less grilled and had a little seasoning would taste way better.

Al Pesto Genovese – Penne Pasta in Pesto sauce, tasty and heavenly!
Al Pesto Genovese
Zen Thin Crust Pizza – Thin crust pizza which was topped with bell peppers, black olives and lots of cheese, tasted a little bland to me, I would love a little chili flakes on the top and that would do wonders to the pizza! haha 😀

Chocolate brownie topped with ice cream – The brownie was served in a cute little bucket. Everyone loves a good brownie with ice cream!
Lovely ambience, spacious seating and great interior!
They surely they need small improvements with food and a lot with their service, very very slow service and the staff was so confused with what to serve, we dint get to try a lot of their dishes which was served that evening because the staff being so confused with what they were serving everyone. That surely was a big bummer to the evening! I really hope the service has got better since then!
On the Pocket –
If you’re finding for a pocket friendly restaurant then this is not the place, as they’re a little on the expensive side for your pockets!
Riso is located right in front of Lamcy Plaza, Oud Metha. You can never have an issue with finding parking!
